Laird’s thoughts are intriguing. What discredits them is his reliance on hieroglyphics interpretation of EA Wallis Budge. Bluntly stated, Budge’s interpretations are wrong and not contemporary student of Egypt would considered any theory based on Budge. I recommend that Scranton rewrite every section of his books referencing Budge using up to date interpretations. Unless he does this no modern student will accept his interpretations.rr
