It seems LJ is not playing nice again and not sending out notifies as well as they could. If I owe you a tag, please let me know. Some of you I know that I owe reps to and I will be getting on those directly.
Happy Birthday, Caroline!
I wish a most joyous birthday to you, my beloved daughter, Caroline Elizabeth de Rochefort. You have grown into a fine woman of whom your father and I are very proud! Bon Fete!
With Love,
Maman

OOC Thank you’s!
This scribe is a little stunned at having won Outstanding Writing of a Female Original Character for fannyfae and Outstanding Writing of a Female RPF/Historical Muse for nomanselizabeth. I, in all honesty, had not even expected either muse to make it to the finals let alone win. I am humbled and grateful for all those around me who have made my muse shine. Most specifically these people make me and my muse look very good. I would like to thank the muses and muns of all_forme, civ_barbarian, grissom_tm, allfor_one, a_roman_w_power, _call_me_snake_, little_immie, and so, so, SO many others that I cannot even begin to count or list with my pre-coffee mind.
Thank you for all who voted, thank you for all of your hard work and caring and most of all thank you for the precious gift of your friendship. You mean a very great deal to the muses and to me.

Mun prompt: Do you find yourself playing your muse in a single timeline or do you run multiple histories? If that’s the case, how does your muse change from one to another? What about those of you who play your muse at varying ages? What does your muse gain or lose with age? Feel free to share their life experiences with us.
Since Fanny is half-Fae and essentially an immortal character, I have had the luxury of playing her in several different time frames. Since she was borni n 1444, we were able from that period onward, if I or rather she so chose, to explore those areas. One of the first storylnes in Fanny’s timeline was one that she and I worked out with the muse civ_barbarian and his mun set in the time of Richard and the two princes in the Tower. Now, we have not finished exploring that story, and I personally intend to do more with it if everyone involved also agrees. But certainly it started setting up her canon and the canon for when she and Hsu Danmei actually met and became the firiends that they are. I have just begun exploring a little bit more her childhood and her time on the Fortunate Island as a young woman leading up to her usurpation of the Throne. Continue reading

Writer’s Block: I’d Like to Thank…
A few years ago I was introduced to some phenomenal people who changed my life. I would like to thank my scribe, niankhsekhmet, who is an amazing screenwriter and producer, as well as those who are largely responsible for my being here tonight. To Hsu Danmei –civ_barbarian you may be a ruthless banker and a warlord of a businessman, but you have always been my dearest friend. To allfor_one, Athos, you are amazing and I will always bless you and your talents. And most of all, my thanks go to my husband, all_forme. Sebastien, without you none of these awards that I’ve won over the last few years would mean nearly as much.
*holds up award* Thank you!

OOC: Thank You!
Mun Note: I wish to thank everyone for the well-wishes, cards and gifts on my birthday yesterday. One of the most wonderful things about the Internet is the ability to meet and to interact with so many fantastic people. If wealth could be measured in friends and loved ones, I would be one of the wealthiest people alive. It makes me absolutely humble to know each of you.
Thank you for all that you do!

TBS – Prompt 2.3 Section 3.B – Attila Quote
“I say that if a woman can only have power through a man, then let it be with the most powerful man she can find.” –Attila
Any power I have gained I got by wits and my Will or because I took it as I saw fit. Certainly not merely because I allied myself with a powerful man. As a woman and a sovereign, I resent the idea that my sex is of no use except as a consort to a male authority figure Let a man find his power on his own. And if I find him worthy I may be inclined to take him as an ally. Where I come from, no man may rule but through the High Lady, and only then as her Consort. I have, in my very long and immortal life, known many a powerful men. And interestingly enough, one or two of them are still around in my life. The man that I chose as my husband and consort was not the most powerful man. However, he certainly was one of the most feared in all of France. The fact that I love him is a given. I hope that he shall forgive me for saying that the fear he caused, became as the fear of me. His power was in a different form, and it has proven to be most useful. Continue reading

OOC: To those hypocrites within the American populace who are rabidly anti-immigrant
Now, maybe you all can shut up. For the record; my choice for President was Bill Richardson because of his voting record on both Immigration and Indigenous issues. I am still as of yet undecided, but I will say this: any candidate’s stand on Indigenous issues is how my vote will be decided. If he cannot deal with that then he or she cannot be entrusted with anything else – at all. It’s a nearly five hundred year-old stain that needs to be addressed.

TM Prompt 218 – Write about a lie your parents told you.
My mother never lied to me. At least she never did that I was aware of. She was a truly good person. My father, on the other hand, from whom I have inherited my Unseelie blood – he was not-so-good. It took an act of Will on Morgienne’s part to even get him to acknowledge the fact that he was my father. He would not be forsworn and actually say that he had not known my mother. He knew that he had – and so did everyone else. And I was the result of their illicit liaison. He did not lie – I will give him that. However, his allegations inferred that he highly doubted that he was the only possibility toward being my sire. In end, irrefutable proof was provided and Gan Ceanach was forced to acknowledge that indeed, I was his daughter.
I suppose one could argue that keeping such secrets, or harbouring such nonchalance is in and of itself tantamount to a lie. I do not necessarily agree. He and I still do not speak often, and when we do, our relationship is strained at best. We always skirt around the issue as to why he and I can never be a family. I guess in a way, those are lies, too.
